Golden Cross
With 20 episodes this drama was a HIT and MISS for me. The whole revenge plot was promising but then the daughter kept trying to protect her father who she knew well was a murderer and an all round bad guy but the fact that he was her father made her want to protect him.
At one point it was really annoying and i really wanted the both of them off the screen but then i thought about me dad and how much i love him. If i found out my dad did something like that i would do the same thing and not want to see my father hurt in any way.
So the HIT was the fact that the main character was able to at least get some justice for the death of his father and sister. He was also able to get back on his feet after almost loosing his life a few times. The fact that the evil guy still lived and had power after he was released from jail is what the MISS was for me. Plus the romans was neither here nor there. Uhm Ki Joon in all his sexiness and his awesome voice was also in this drama. At one point i really did want to hurt his character so i'd chuck that up to awesome acting.
I did want Seo Ye Ri to end up with Kang Do Yoon but that was definitely never going to happen even in another life. Hong Se Ra dying was a saving grace i couldn't stand her for anything. She was the one who started everything and then wanted to put a bandaid on a gaping wound...eeeerrrmmm i think not mama. Overall it was a good drama and it definitely kept me on my toes the whole time. Plus there was eye candy to boot...lol.
Big Man
At this point you should all know by now that i'll watch almost anything with Kang Ji Hwan in it. Why?? You may ask....well for the two obvious reasons of course He's a cutie pie ajussi and his kiss scenes give me life everlasting . So this drama was a total hit for me because my third drama husband Daniel Choi is in it.
He gave the most fantastic performance i thing of his life in this drama. He played an annoying character in "The World that They Live In" a drama that aired in 2008 and he wasn't that convincing there but i still loved him then lol. In this drama i can honestly tell you all i wanted to hurt him so badly that's how fantastic his performance was. Kang Ji Hwan as always gave a really good performance. For some reason i did not ship Lee Da Hee with Kang Ji Hwan but by the end i was like screw it. Jung So Min has come a long way from her Playful Kiss days she was also good in this drama. The drama overall was a good one filled with laughs and cries but all in all i loved this drama.
In both dramas the acting was good and the story lines were engaging enough. The romance in both dramas weren't really the focus but there are a few hints of it in them. Awesome marathon material for my marathon crew. They are both available on +DramaFever so give them a go.
