Homemade Soo Jae Bi Experience

Food Experiment

So i was watching season one of Family outing with my sister and we were at the episode with Rain as a guest. We being curious girls and wanting to try something new just because it looked so good on tv.

For breakfast they decided to make Soo Jae Bi and it looked so good. Since we were up really early on this nice winter morning we decided to make our own batch my sis and i. We got ready and drove to our local H-Mart list in tow. Our recipe was gotten from Kfoodaddict. Her recipe is pretty simple and straight forward. The only problem we encountered was with the measurement conversion. Lest just say we had our dumb and dumber moments lol.

All in all we made it through. Our kitchen and dinning area was covered in flour. I always wondered how people managed to get flour everywhere in the movies well i don't wonder anymore. We made two batches because i'm not a fan or spicy foods and my sis is. So hers was mega spicy and mine was medium. They both turned out great but you know we had to put our african spin on it with the spices. There was soy sauce but we added some maggi seasoning or bullion cubes.

This is the finished product. Just a preference i added a bunch of fresh chives to my batch.

It tasted great and i can say now that i can make  Soo Jae Bi lol. Ps it was my first time cooking clams. Instead of just dried anchovies we got the prepackaged individual packs of broth helpers which have anchovies, kelp and some other things in it to help flavor a pot of stock and all you need to do is fish out the pouch whenever you want.

We will be making for korean dishes in the future so look out for that.
