In preparations for IRIS 2, dared to watch the first installment of IRIS and i must say i was quite impressed with the acting but at the same time i was not so keen on the ending. Kim Hyun Jun died that really broke my heart.
I fell in love with his character from the first episode and went through the motions of thinking he was dead, just to find out he was alive. When his best friend betrayed him i was hurt but i have to admit i saw that coming. The first clue was when obviously when they both fell for the same woman with out knowing it. This drama had the best kiss scenes ever. They actually had real kisses not the typical drama kiss that just begs the question "why bother?"
The impressive cast includes
- Lee Byung Hun (couldnt help but love him and his smile)
- Jung Joon Ho (called hit treatrous way from ep 1)
- Kim Tae Hee (who i absolutely loved)
- Kim Sun Yeon (pissied me off)
- T.O.P (sexiest villain ever, was rooting for him just cos he's so damn hot)
- Yoon Joo Sang (the best ajussi in the game)
I mean it wouldn't be a good K-Drama with out the normal one sided love thing going on. Que in the lady from Prosecutor princess, Kim So Yeon who plays Kim Sun Hwa (she will be back in IRIS 2) who was madly in love with Lee Byung Hun's character Kim Hyun Jun that she decided to keep the fact that the woman he loved was alive because he though she was dead. 
The cast for the first IRIS was pretty impressive. For a 2009 drama i was highly taken by the whole thing. Compared to some of the mediocre acting in todays dramas IRIS has succeeded in rolling up my list. There were some fillers as expected, if not it wouldn't have been able to make it up to 20 episodes. In my opinion, 16 episodes could have done the job.
So for IRIS 2 there are some repeat offenders that will keep us guessing like in the first installment and there are some new faces which i am looking forward to.

- Kim Young-Chul - Baek San (repeat offender)
All in all i am eagerly anticipating IRIS2 because i till have some questions that need answering. Plus i want to see some of the people in the new installment. It should be ca fun ride judging from the preview we saw during the recent awards show.
IRIS2 better deliver........ asa asa HwAiTiNg!!!
